    I'm guessing that it may come as a surprise to see your future potential marketing manager on the bow of a Bahamas-bound sailboat. I haven't scared you alway already, have I? It's a bit unconventional, I know—but it does neatly tie in with how I gained uncommon expertise with social media marketing. To quench your curiosity, here's a quick rundown of yours truly...

    I’m a hardworking wife and mother that's living a slightly unconventional, very intentional life. About half the year we’re at home with our families, and the other half we're sailing over the horizon in search of adventure, gin-clear water, and the perfect beach for our next sunburn. It's proof that freedom and structure can, in fact, somewhat peacefully coexist with a lot of planning, a smidge of flexibility, and a really good sense of humor.

    Early in our travels, we launched social accounts that eventually grew into an online presence strong enough to fund eight years of international gallavanting. Sounds impressive, I know… but it was tough work! It turns out that the nonstop filming, editing, and uploading was the easy part. It was simultaneously dealing with equipment failures, dragging anchor, dodging storms, and—always a favorite—hunting down a semi-reliable internet connection that made life difficult.

    The good news is that things aren't nearly as hectic as they used to be. When I'm on the move I have fast, reliable satellite internet. I've assembled a small, but fierce team that keeps everything moving without a hitch. Clear processes and redundant systems mean that projects stay on track no matter where in the world I happen to be logging in from.

    Those early years forced me to learn what works, what doesn't, and what looks fancy but doesn't get any real traction. It also taught me to plan ahead, expect the unexpected, and how to correct-course when change is necessary. Most importantly, I learned how to grow an audience by posting content that stops people dead in their tracks and makes them hungry for more—such as this rather impressive photo of my daughter at the top of our 65 foot mast. (They grow up so fast!)

    Suffice it to say that the skills and resources I have today didn't come from theory, or fads, or trends—I learned by making mistakes, adapting on the fly, and doing the work under rather punishing, beyond-real-world conditions. I learned because our livelihood, as unorthodox as it is, depends on it. Today, I bring that hard-earned experience to my clients with a calm, thoughtful approach that centers on authentic, audience-first marketing for sustainable growth.
